Scifeon doesn't really implement a shopping cart - it's a data management system, after all, not a webshop. The "Shopping Cart" in Scifeon is really an accumulating clipboard. But it behaves more like a shopping cart than a typical computer clipboard, so that's what we call it.

Purpose

You can use the shopping cart for making a collection of things that you want to use; e.g. samples to use as step-input or when ordering, plasmids or variants where you want to fetch mini-preps from storage, or any entity where you want to change status or ownership.

Adding and Removing Stuff

You can add entities to the cart from list views or from entity detail views by clicking the Add To Shopping Cart button.

Click the shopping cart icon in the menu bar to view the content of the shopping cart.

In the shopping cart content page, you can select items and remove them from the cart.
